The Simplest Of Things ....

Walks and talks ….. sometimes some of the most simplest things in life, are the most fulfilling.
Exploring, discovering, going on adventures, by oneself, with a friend, or a close group, can bring a new and refreshing outlook within one’s life.
We all need distractions from the stressors within our lives. Personally the great outdoors provides me with these distractions in so many ways. When I look at my life, and the activities that have I embraced, I now recognise the close relationship they all have had with Mother Nature. I previously didn’t identify with mindfulness, and to be honest, initially struggled with the term, that I was being bombarded with, more than five years ago.
Many of us are fortunate to have those distractions, activities, interests on our doorstep, or the doorstep of friends.
For me, being outdoors allows me to normalise the fight and flight response, as it reflects the past of man, and the hunter gatherer within.
PTSD is complexed, and individual to each and every person who has, or is experiencing particular symptoms. It’s almost like an ‘umbrella label’, that then comprises so many specific nuances of mental health.
I’ll leave it at that for now. Perhaps allow one to ponder.
