Something a little different ...

Something a little different for the weekend perhaps ……

Most definitely one of my favourite sea birds. I’m always hugely excited to see them, and particularly when in a feeding frenzy, as they were yesterday. Dolphins and Gannets were plundering a huge shoal of bait fish, probably mackerel.

Did you know that Northern gannets are the largest seabirds in the North Atlantic.

Gannets are closely related to boobies. They comprise the genus Morus, in the family Sulidae.

I could go on …… but I won’t!
